Laugh filled enjoyable show
Dunham's show was very well put together and comprehensive. This was my first time seeing him live. If you are easily offended at political and social commentary, then this might not be for you, but I'm sure most reading this and coming to the show are already familiar with his work. He brings out the fan favorites and also introduces some new stuff - and a new character. The show was quite a bit longer than I had assumed. Maybe because it was being filmed? This is a good thing. The venue was fairly large for a comedian or ventriloquist, but have no fear, Jeff has a giant screen to help you out in the back. At several points the audience was laughing so hard, that many of those around me could hardly catch their breaths. There was very good rapport and audience participation. Additionally, the great seats that I splurged on for my wife came with an unexpected swag bag full of great stuff like a talking Bubba, photo of Jeff with Achmed, tour poster and etc. The only minor negatives (which were really no big deal) - were the wait at the merch line (due to there being only 2 very overworked employees) and a bit of a cringy commercial in the middle of the set. But hey, If I were watching on TV the same would be happening and Jeff has to pay the bills, right? So, this show was a big win for the date and me. Everyone had a load of fun and laughs.
